Here’s the scoop: Pastor Chris Chadwick asked me to become Media Director at Canyon Ridge Baptist Church, and I accepted.
Basically, my job is to coordinate all church media: videos, sound, lighting, signage, logos, the website, tracts and brochures, powerpoint presentations, and other merchandise. It’s pretty exciting.
It’s a part-time job, and is an Administrative Staff position. That means I do work so that the Pastors can focus on praying and reading and preaching and counseling and all that.
How will this affect the production of Razorwire, the feature-length documentary I’ve been working on for Canyon Ridge Baptist Church for the past eleven months? It really won’t. Some story elements will change. The production, however, will be largely unaffected. In fact, many aspects of church life should be more accessible for filming.
Anyway, so I got a job. Well, technically, I have like three other jobs right now, but I consider this one my primary, aside from Three Ten Pictures.
In addition to me, Canyon Ridge also hired my good friend Burnie Lund as… I think it’s Assistant Pastor. I can’t remember his exact title. He’s an extremely faithful guy, and I’m super-pumped to see him doing what he loves for a living now.
I just thought you guys should know. Have a great week!
