Wazzup, Rockers!
The Basics:
I’m John Chiafos (pronounced “Shy-fiss”). I live in San Diego, California. I’m a Christian. I’m a filmmaker. I’m a banker. I’m a writer. I’m a videographer. I’m a victim of the recession, and that makes me happy (more later).
I have a story to tell. I’m about to transition into full-time independent filmmaking. I am elated/terrified. I’m so ready/wanna go home. It rocks/sucks.
I want you to know about it.
Currently, I work at a bank by day. It is stable, responsible, benefitted, relatively well pad, nine-to-five work. For the past three years, it has been killing my soul.
At the end of the month, I’m getting laid off. And after that…
…I will make films for a living. Actually, there’s one film in particular, one I can’t share a whole lot about yet. But I will.
You shouldn’t subscribe to my blog. It’ll suck. You totally shouldn’t click on either of the two links on the right that read:
You’d be so bored with my blog. I’m gonna talk about stuff like God and Batman and wedding videos and the craft of writing. Yeah, I can already tell you’re not interested. If you have questions about any of the above subjects, or just wanna talk God/Film/The Arts/Church/San Diego/Music/Videography, gimme a shout. I’ll get back to you.
The site looks kinda cool, but is definitely under construction. Please be patient as we work out the final design and site maps and flash vids and stuff like that. You’ll see plenty of my films… from dramatic work to documentary film to wedding videos to ministry promotionals to viral junk.
Anyway, thanks for reading. You’re amazing. I want to be with you. Things won’t get weird. I promise.
