I couldn’t fit my 9/11 thoughts into a tweet. Today, I’m thinking mostly of all the Soldiers, the Sailors, the Airmen, the Marines I know. Many of them are overseas fighting a war to end terror. I figure they’re often scared, and if they’re not scared, they’re alone… doing anything they can to fight boredom or [...]

Wow—has it really been this long? Life has certainly been interesting the past two months. In fact, it seems like it’s been turned upside-down, for one reason or another, about once a week… all summer. I’ve been wondering of the train would ever slow down long enough for me to take a breath. Maybe it is. [...]

This past week… or so… …well, it’s all been a blur. Attached is a vid I made this past weekend for a week-long camp that CRBC’s youth group went to. I cut it in about two hours, so it’s no masterpiece… but it’s fun. Enjoy.

The staff at Canyon Ridge Baptist Church (including me) shaved our heads today to support our friend Tyler, who’s going through cancer treatment. Tyler, my friend, we love you. You can see pics of my new Camp Pendleton-friendly haircut by clicking here.

To the shattered, blood-soaked whites of my eyes, I give this salute–a thank you, a ticker-tape parade of twenty-six letters arranged in pretty patterns–which are, in turn, zeros and ones arranged in pretty patterns, filaments in liquid crystal, themselves burst liquid veins in waxy casings… Obviously, I’m tired. Eight, nine, hours of staring. Click. Click. Click. A shot. A [...]

Here’s the scoop: Pastor Chris Chadwick asked me to become Media Director at Canyon Ridge Baptist Church, and I accepted. It’s nine o’clock, and still dusk, and the view is some Pentacostal ecstasy. Your soul ruptures, and all your questions dissolve: the Infinite, the Endles, Heaven, Hell, Ying, Yang... here it is—The Answer!—in all [...]

I’m moving Saturday, so I will be offline for a few days. There’s no internet connection set up at the new place, so I may be typing up blog posts at Barnes & Noble after this. We’ll see. In the meantime, I’ve posted a clip from my upcoming comedy The Shrub Whisperer. Let me know what [...]

In this post, you’re getting three blog posts in one. They have almost nothing to do with each other–I just had a lot on my mind last night. BLOG PART ONE: — THE HIRE — Recently, a number of friends have sent me links to short films that inspired them. In particular, my friend John sent me [...]

I’m toying around with Magic Bullet Software, which basically takes your video footage and makes it look cool. We’re experimenting with a look for my upcoming short comedy The Shrub Whisperer (the picture’s almost locked on this one). Let me know what you think!
